Mink Creek
This project is part of our USDA ReConnect Grant 2. The construction is 73 miles of trunkline, and we will be able to serve approximately 400 homes. Weather permitting, we are planning on trunkline fiber finished in 2026, and start building to customers in 2027. Currently in Phase 2, Construction Planning.
We hope to get this project started in the Summer of 2026.
Thatcher (Community Connect)
Direct Communications was awarded a Community Connect Grant from the USDA, which will reach from Thatcher to Preston. This project is anticipated to connect 3170 locations with Gig/ Gig speeds. A community tech center will also be opened. This tech center will be open to community members who need access to high speed internet as we complete construction. Currently in Phase 1, Project Launch.
Preston
We are expanding our service in Preston. We are working on connecting 20+ customers in the Blue Sage Buildings with fiber. Currently in Phase 3, Mainline Installation.
Clifton, Dayton, Thatcher
Direct Communications partnered with the towns of Arimo, Lewisville, Dingle, Ovid, Bern, Liberty, Clifton, Dayton, East of Grace, and Thatcher to facilitate the construction of a 100 mile high-speed fiber internet network to serve 1,000 residences with the help of an award from the Idaho Broadband grant.
This project is completed (2020)
Weston
Direct Communications partnered with the towns of Roberts and Weston to facilitate the construction of a fiber internet network with the help of an award from the 2nd Round of the Idaho Broadband grant.
