Schools and Libraries

Let’s Bring You Up To Speed

With game-changing technology moving into the classroom, administrators are starting to see a revolution in the way teachers teach and students learn. High-speed internet is an educational equalizer and a learning accelerator. Fiber optics are the key to upgrading schools’ networks to the high-speed future. Fiber is the only technology that can deliver gigabit speeds to schools and scale to meet their growing bandwidth needs.

Luckily, there are financial support programs to help schools and libraries access fiber broadband.

E-Rate

Schools & Libraries.

E-Rate is a federal program designed to make internet access more affordable for schools and libraries. Run by USAC (Universal Service Administrative Company), it offers discounts on internet service, networking equipment, and maintenance—helping schools and libraries stay connected without breaking the budget.

Both public and private K-12 schools and libraries can apply, with discounts based on economic need (like the percentage of students on free/reduced lunch) and whether the institution is in a rural or urban area.

The process is straightforward: Schools and libraries submit a funding request outlining their internet needs and go through a competitive bidding process to choose an approved provider (like us!). Once approved, E-Rate covers part of the cost, so the institution only pays the remaining balance—making high-speed internet more accessible than ever.
