Direct Communication is in the beginning stages of bringing fiber to Montpelier. This project is starting to be planned. Currently in Phase 1, Project Launch.
Bear Lake East Shore (ReConnect 2)
The East Shore of Bear Lake was a recipient of the 2nd round of funding for the USDA ReConnect Grant. This project is anticipated to connect 250 locations with Gig/Gig speeds.
We are in the process of bringing fiber to Bear Lake East Shore down to the Utah border. If you own a home on the East Shore of Bear Lake and would like service, you can sign up by entering your address at the bottom of the page. Currently in Phase 5, Home-side Splicing.
Bennington, Bloomington, St. Charles
In 2020, Direct Communications set out to upgrade the towns of Bennington, Bloomington, and St. Charles in Bear Lake County, Idaho to fiber.

Bern, Dingle, Liberty, Ovid
Direct Communications partnered with the towns of Arimo, Lewisville, Dingle, Ovid, Bern, Liberty, Clifton, Dayton, East of Grace, and Thatcher to facilitate the construction of a 100 mile fiber internet network to serve 1,000 residences with the help of an award from the Idaho Broadband grant.
